Song Story
I wrote this song—my prayer and declaration, ‘By Faith I Surrender’—with @gilbertthera and @ninasariishak over long distances and through technology. It is a collaborative musical journey between three countries: the Netherlands, Indonesia, and the USA. It features five cities: Almere, Harlem, Jakarta, Tangerang, and Los Angeles. It reflects my journey of trusting God through life’s challenges after I lived in NL. It is a deeply personal story, battle, and faith journey.
It’s a story of obedience, and let time witness the ripple effect of that act of faith. Praying that this song will resonate deeply with listeners who may be facing their own battles and need encouragement to keep going, no matter the obstacles.
