Mission Trip Bengkayang, Kalimantan 2013

We went to a mission trip in the deep of remote area at Bengkayang, West Kalimantan. We need to ride a open truck for 1,5 hour from the nearest town where we stay to go to GBI Sei Sibo. They doesn’t have electricity. They need to use power generator in order to get electricity. We worshiping God with what we have - our voice and acoustic guitar. Ko Jose teach something that I could not forget.

People often jealous or wanted to live in the city. Feels discourage with their circumstances, when it compare to the city life. People could forget about how great and the richness from the nature. The fresh air that they can breath, the clean water, the simple life. People in the city doesn’t have a clean air. We depend on airco. Air pollution. Living like in a stack.

Don’t despise your conditions. Be grateful and don’t compare.

Here in this place is the first time I’m leading worship as JPCC Worship. Not in our campus, but far away in to the deep remote area, without any lighting, sound and complicated equipment. But, yet God’s presence is strong and the same wherever we are.

Grateful for Ko Steve Tabalujan (my Date leader - in that time) and Ko Andy who give me this tremendous opportunity to go to a mission trip - together with Ko Jose, Umbu, Ricky, Lucky and Hendra Chiang. (Yes, I am the only girl in this trip.)
